Adv. Hagai Sitton

Managing Partner of the Spaer, Sitton Henig Law Office in Jerusalem, Adv. Sitton specializes in litigation in all judicial tribunals in areas of real-estate, planning & construction, contracts, torts, taxation, intellectual property, and antiquities laws.  He has over fifty years of experience representing insurance companies, medical entities (including hospitals), banks, foundations and trusts, among others.

Adv. Sitton is a Major (in res.) in the Israel Defence Forces where he served as a combat soldier (including during the Six-Day War) and later as a military prosecutor and judge in military courts.  He held several positions in the governing bodies of the Israel Bar Association, including Vice Chairman of the Israel Bar Association Courts Forum and a member of its disciplinary court. 

Adv. Sitton is a board member of the Association for Israel’s Soldiers, a trustee of the Hecht Foundation, a trustee of the Ammunition Hill National Memorial Site, a trustee of the Israel Museum, and serves as the Chairman of the Old Yishuv Court Museum.  He was a member of the public committee (appointed by the Speaker of the Knesset) for determining the salary of Knesset members.

In 2014, Adv. Sitton was awarded the ‘Yakir Yerushalaim’, Jerusalem’s highest civilian honor, for his lifelong service to the City of Jerusalem, its institutions and its people.

He holds an LL.B. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, is a member of the Israel Bar Association (1965) and the New York State Bar Association (1988), and is a certified mediator.
