Prof. Tally Katz-Gerro is the Vice-President-elect for Global Engagement.

Full Professor in Sociology, Prof. Katz-Gerro, completed her PhD in Sociology at the University of California at Berkley.  She specializes in culture, consumption, environment, sustainability and inequality, and currently heads the Division of Global Engagement at the University of Haifa.

Prof. Katz-Gerro is an Honorary Reader at the University of Manchester and a Docent at the University of Turku. She is well publicized, and her research has received wide recognition and funding from competitive funds such as the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation, the Israel Science Foundation, Horizon 2020, and others.

Between 2017-2023 she served as co-Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed scholarly journal of literature, Poetics.
