Sharon Zaid was born in Haifa to a 10th generation family that still resides in the city. He holds a BSc degree in electrical engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

For over three decades, he served in leading senior managerial positions in Israeli industry and successfully led a major turnaround of a publically traded Israeli company with a multinational operation. Today, Zaid is heading a company initiating industrial sustainable and infrastructure solutions to enable better environmental, economic wellbeing and quality of life.

A Colonel (res.) in the Israeli army, Zaid has been an active volunteer in the community for over two decades. He has served as a member of the University’s Executive Committee since 2018.

Zaid and his wife are raising five children.  They live in Kibbutz Maayan Zvi.
